Mr. Okello Peter serves as the Staff Representative to the Board of Governors at St. Joseph’s Hospital Kitgum, a key role that ensures the voice, welfare, and professional interests of the hospital’s staff are represented at the highest level of institutional governance.

In this capacity, Mr. Okello acts as the official liaison between the hospital workforce and the Board of Governors, bringing forward staff perspectives on policy decisions, working conditions, and operational matters that directly affect employees. He actively participates in board discussions and committee meetings, contributing insights that reflect the collective concerns, experiences, and suggestions of the hospital’s diverse staff.

Mr. Okello also plays a pivotal role in advocating for fair and transparent human resource practices, professional development opportunities, and staff welfare programs. He collaborates with the Human Resource Committee and Quality Assurance, Discipline, and Grievance Committee to address staff-related issues, promote a positive work environment, and support conflict resolution processes where necessary.

Additionally, Mr. Okello ensures that board resolutions and policies are effectively communicated to staff members and that feedback from the workforce is channeled back to the board for consideration in decision-making processes.
