In March 2023, St. Joseph’s Hospital Kitgum proudly hosted a landmark event to celebrate the installation of a new Eye Health Complex, a vital step toward improving access to specialized eye care services in Northern Uganda. The ceremony was graced by His Grace Bishop John Baptist Odama, the CBM Country Director, the Executive Officer CBM Italy, the State-Minister for Northern Uganda, and other distinguished guests.

This state-of-the-art facility was established through the generous support of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), in partnership with CBM and the Ministry of Health Uganda under the project AID 11907 ForeSeeing Inclusion: Eye Health and Disability Mainstreaming in Northern Uganda.
